Govt doctors stage protest demonstration

 Nalgonda: As a part of State-wide protest, government doctors from Bhongir Yadadri, Suryapet, Nalgonda districts staged a protest demonstration in front of theDistrict Medical and Health office here on Tuesday. 

Addressing the gathering at the programme,Doctors Joint Action CommitteeState co-convenor, DrKalyan Chakravarthy, and Dr Prashanth demanded that the State government withdraw the GO 21 and 22. They also deplored “apathy” on the part of the government in not redressing the grievances being expressed by the doctors for the last one year.

The government in the past had promised to solve the problems being faced by the doctors within three months. But it failed to do so though one year passed since the promise was made. They regretted that the government had failed to issue health cards to the doctors. 

They demanded that the government increase the number of doctors and the staff in primary health centres with responsibility of implement schemes like KCR kits are entrusted to the doctors. The expressed concern over the system of recruiting doctors on contract.  They warned that doctors would launch indefinite hunger strike from April 16 if their demands were not met.
 
Doctors Vimala,Muralidhar,Rajender, Suman Kalyan, Vamshi, Ashvin, Feroz, Nagendra Babu, Kalyan Chakravarth, Ganga Vara Prasad, Jyothimai, Lakshmi Prasanna, Srinivasa Raju, Deepthi Priyanka, Srilatha,Papi Reddy, Krishna Kumari Nagamani, Pallavi, Jamuna and others participated in the protest.
