Miryalaguda police bust gutka racket

 Nalgonda: Miryalguda police on Tuesday busted a gutkha racket and seized the gutka and pan masala worth Rs 55 lakh. The policeconducted series of raids at various places.

The police arrested six members of the alleged gang.The arrested were Mohammed Juber Ahmed (33) of Rajendranagar in Hyderabad, Kandukuri Srinivas (38) from Miryalgudem in Nalgonda district, V Samabhashiva Rao of Vijayawada, Sanjay Bhati (47)from Nagapuram of Rajasthan, D Raja Shekar (42) and Wasim Patni (32) from Hyderabad Two more persons Ranjan Guptha of Delhi and Ashok of Surath of Gujarath are still at large.

Superintendent of Police AV Ranganathan told media persons that the police had arrested Kandukuri Srinivas during vehicle check at Alagadapa Toll Plaza, near Miryalguda,and recovered gutka and pan masala from his possession.  Basing on the information provided to the police, series of raids were conducted onVaishnavi Maa Godown at Katedan and Bato Godown at Maddena in Hyderabad.
