First day hundi collection 94 lakh: Bhadrachalam EO

Bhadrachalam: The hundi income of Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam was Rs 94,10,672, after the counting on Wednesday, the first day of counting, said temple executive officer K Prabhakar Srinivas here on Wednesday.

He said that the hundi counting was held after 52 days. In view of heavy rush during Sri Rama Navami celebrations, several hundis were arranged at the temple. The counting will continue on Thursday also and the total income will be announced after counting of all hundis, the EO said. 

Last year, the hundi income after Sri Rama Navami festival was Rs one crore, he added.Assistant Executive officer Sravan Kumar and temple officers were present during the hundi counting.
