e-petty case app launched in Khammam city

Khammam: Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal here on Wednesday launched e-petty case app.On the orders of DGP Mahendar Reddy for maintenance of law and order, the new app called ‘e-petty case’ was launched by Police Commissioner. 

A first case was filed against a general merchant V Hari Krishan for doing business on the road and thus creating obstruction to free flow of traffic at Gandhi Chowk under Khammam two town police station limits.

Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner said all the minor cases under e-petty applications would be linked on online with Aadhaar card number, so that the number of cases filed against each individual across the State can be easily ascertained.

Through this application, the details of the persons, including their photos, against whom e-petty case is booked will be uploaded online and geotagged. This will be implemented under every police station in the city limits, said the Commissioner.

Petty cases accounted for just 5 per cent, he said and added that 95 per cent were law-abiding. He urged the people to extend their support for the new initiative.Deputy Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar, ACPs Ganesh, Naresh Reddy, Sada Niranjan, Eshwaraiah, Prasanna Kumar, CI’s Nagendra Chary, Venkanna Babu, Raji Reddy, Ramesh, Anjali, Nageshwar Rao and Chitti Babu were present.
