CPM stresses need for united fight

Khammam: District Secretary of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Nunna Nageswar Rao here on Thursday accused the State and the Central governments of not implementing the Labour Laws.

Speaking at the general body meeting of the Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) and the representatives of Hospital Workers Union here, Nageswar Roa said the CPI-M continued to stand by workers and fight for their rights.

The Central government had diluted the Labour Laws to benefit of the corporate sector. He exhorted the workers to wage a fight unitedly to protect their rights. The party at its national conference, to be held in Hyderabad between April 18 and 22, would focus its attention on the subject and chalk out an action plan to ensure that the interests of the working class are protected. 

He urged the workers to attend the national conference and make it a success.CITU district joint secretary Tumma Vishnu Vardhan, K Guru Murthy, representatives of Hospital Workers Union Vijayamma, Venkataramana, Anjali, Lakshmi, Kamala, Dhanamma and Ramulamma were present at the programme.
