Swachh Bharat programme held
Khammam: The Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal on Thursday inaugurated the Swachh Bharat programme here at Police Parade Grounds in Khammam on Thursday.
The Police Commissioner along with Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar painted the compound wall of Police Parade Grounds as part of the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, the Tafseer Iqbal said the police officials along with the staff members participated in the ‘Shramadhanam’ by painting the police stations.
As per the orders issued by the Director General of Police (DGP) Mahendar Reddy, as many as 20 police stations under Khammam Police Commissionerate limits would be modernised, he said.
The modernisation works of Khammam rural, Urban, Sattupalli, Madhira, Wyra and highway police stations would begin very soon, he added.
He urged the police officials and staff members of the police stations to participate actively in the Swachh Bharat programme.
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police K Suresh Kumar, AR Assistant Commissioner of Police Venkateswharlu and Vijay Babu, Reserve Inspectors Srinivas, Ravi, Madan Mohan and Nageshwar Rao were present.
