Yellendu (Kothagudem): “The TRS leaders are unnerved at the huge response the Congress is getting during its bus yatra and at meetings in Telangana State,” stated Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Addressing a public meeting at Yellendu in Kothagudem district on Monday evening as part of Congress Praja Chaitanya Bus Yatra, he said that the public response was a clear indication that their party will definitely come to power in the State in next elections.

Taking a jab at the TRS government for failing to implement its poll promises, he criticised that the ruling party leaders were visiting those places only, where the works were completed and mesmerising the public with their speeches.

Since this was the first meeting conducted in Yellendu after the district formation, people in large numbers, including party leaders and workers attended the meeting. The entire town was covered with party flags, flexis and banners. Uttam was given a grand welcome by the local leaders.

As per the schedule, the yatra has to enter the district at 3 pm but it reached here by 7.30 pm.  The public meeting was commenced in late hours of the evening.

State party leaders were impressed at the support the yatra was getting. Party Observer Kunthiya and State leaders MP Renuka Chowdary, CLP leader Jana Reddy, TPCC working president Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, V Hanumanth Rao, Balaram Naik, Damodar Reddy, Shabbeer Ali, Mallu Ramesh and other leaders participated in the meeting.

The Yatra will continue in the district for two days – in Manuguru on Tuesday and in Bhadrachalam on Wednesday.
