CPM to chalk out strategy to fight NDA govt

Khammam: The Communist Party of India –Marxist (CPI-M) will play a crucial role in the politics in the coming days after its five-day national conference from Wednesday, according to district party leader Macharla Bharati here on Wednesday.

The CPI-M leaders and activists conducted celebrations as part of giving a wide publicity to the party’s national conference. The party leaders “blew Sankaravam” amid drum beatings.

Speaking on the occasion, Bharati alleged that the BJP at the Centre and the TRS in State had failed to pay attention to the welfare of the people. Attacks on women had increased. It was a shame that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had not spoken on the incidents, she said. 

Important decision would be taken at the party’s national conference to ensure that the party plays a key role in the coming days. 

 CPM party leaders Y Vikram, D Veerababu, N Ramesh, B Venkat Kumar, K Gurumurthy, G Bhimaiah, B Upendar, J Venkanna Babu, S K Bhibi, Gayatri, Bharat Reddy, Krishna and Shekar were present.
