Rapes on minor girls on the rise under BJP govt: TJS
Khammam: District General Secretary of the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) Bhadru Naik here on Wednesday accused the BJP government at the Centre of failing to provide protection to the girls and women.
The TJS district general body meeting was held was held here on Wednesday. Speaking at the meeting, Bhadru Naik said attacks and rapes on minor girls have been increasing day by day under the reign of the BJP government.
More number of girls and women have suffered attacks in the BJP-ruled States, he said. He recalled that even a people’s representative was allegedly involved in rape case.
Instead of punishing those involved in the shameful acts of rape, the BJP was trying to shield them in the name of religion, he alleged. He demanded that the government take steps to provide security to the women.
TJS leaders T Ramu, N Srinivas Rao, J Ravi, Kishore, B Veeranna, Rajesh, Venkataramana, S K Ravi, B Venkateshwarlu, Ravinder, Saleem, K Babu, Shankari, Lakshman and E Rambabu were present.
