MLA camp office inaugurated in Sattupalli
Khammam: Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao inaugurated the MLA camp office-cum- residence, constructed at a cost of Rs 1 crore at Sattupalli in Khammam district on Monday.
The State government has decided to construct MLA camp office-cum-residence at the headquarters of every constituency to enable the public to have better access to their elected legislators. While ground floor consists of a reception room, MLA chamber, meeting hall, room for personal secretaries and a VIP waiting hall, the first floor comprises bedrooms, a hall, kitchen, prayer room, balcony.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the construction of office-cum residences was meant to serve as centre of interaction between elected representatives and the public. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao took a decision to build MLA camp offices-cum residence specially, he added.
He advised the people to utilise the welfare scheme launched by the government. MP Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, Sattupalli MLA Sandra Venkata Veeraiah, DCCB Chairman Muvva Vijaya Babu and local public representatives were present at the programme.
