Blood donation camp held in Mahbubnagar
Mahbubnagar: The police officials from one Town police station in Mahbubnagar district in coordination with Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) conducted a blood donation camp in the district on Tuesday.
Superintendent of Police B Anuradha, while inaugurated the blood donation camp, complimented the police personnel for participating in the programme. She said it would help to save the lives of those in distress.
“It is very important that every individual should be aware of the importance of blood donation. There are still lot of people who are apprehensive of donating blood.
It is high time that we spread awareness among the general public that donating blood is not only good for our health as it will generate new blood in our body but at the same time donating blood will also save the lives of others those who are in emergency need of blood,” observed the SP.
About 60 police personals and other general public took part in the blood donation camp and donated blood.
Red Cross Society president Natarajan, one town Circle Inspector Rama Krishna, Deputy Superintendent of police Bhaskar and other police staff took part in the blood donation programme.
