Rythu Bandhu scheme will end farmers woes

Nalgonda:  Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao has called upon the officials and public representatives to make all arrangements to distribute cheques under Rythu Bandhu scheme to farmers peacefully.

The Minister said each farmer would get financial aid of Rs 8,000 per acre per year as input subsidy. The Minister along with Members of Parliament Boora Narsaiah Goud, Gutha Sukender Reddy, Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, participated in several development programmes.

He laid foundation stone for the construction of a warehouse, to be construct at an estimated cost of Rs 3 crore at  Ippalagudem village under Ketepally mandal in the district.  

Later addressing the people at a public meeting, Harish Rao his expressed his happiness over pace of procurement of paddy at purchasing centres. He said Nalgonda district stood first in the State in record procurement of paddy.

He said by filling Dindi project through Kalvakurthi lift irrigation scheme, water was provided to farmers in Devarakonda division in the district. irrigation water was provided to ayacut farmers of Nagarjunsagar project left canal.

The Minister said the constitution of Rythu Samanvaya Samakyas and subsidy input scheme would help the farmers. The Rythu Bandhu scheme would end the woes of the farmers. He said Udaysamudram lift irrigation project would be completed soon. He promised to ensure that warehouse are build for the benefit of farmers.

Much-awaited lime market in Nakrekal and mosmbi market in Nalgonda would be opened in one month, the Minister said.

In the programme TSFDC chairman Banda Narender Reddy, District Collector Gaurav Uppal, Nakrekal MLA Vemula Veeresham, JC Naryana Reddy , RDO Venkatachary , officials and a large number of people participated.
