4 killed, 3 injured in ghastly accident in Bhongir
Yadadri-Bhongir: Four persons died, and three others were injured when a vehicle in which they were travelling rammed into a lorry from behing near Teacher’s Colony on the Bypass Road in Bhongir on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Maddi Sidulu (driver), N Parshu Ramulu, N Pedda Somaiah and E Yadagiri. They all hailed from Gattu Singaram village under Addaguduru mandal in the district.
The police said Pedda Somaiah had hired a sports utility vehicle to take his son Parshu Ramulu to a hospital at Tirumalagiri. Somaiah’s friends and relatives, too, accompanied him to give him moral support as his son’s condition was stated to be critical.
The doctor advised Somaiah to shift Ramulu to Hyderabad for treatment. Tragedy struck them when they were on their way to Hyderabad. Negligent driving was said to be cause of the accident.
Police rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to Bhongir area hospital for post-mortem.Bhongir DCP Ramchandra Reddy, Circle Inspector Shankar Goud visited the spot and took up investigation.
