Khammam CPM leaders to celebrate May Day on a grand scale

Khammam: District leader of the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) Yerra Srikanth here on Thursday appealed to the party activists to celebrate May Day on a grand scale by hoisting the flag at every division in the Khammam City.

A meeting was held with the leaders of the CPI-M of the three town committee under the leadership of Vajanapalli Srinivas Rao in Khammam on Thursday.

 Speaking at the meeting, Srikanth alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government at the centre is robbing the working class of protection by diluting Labour laws.

By encouraging the corporates the BJP government is suppressing the working sections. Minimum wages, job security and retirement benefits for the working class are denied, he pointed.

He claimed that the State and Central governments were rattled by the success of the CPI-M congress which was held in Hyderabad.

 A new building of CPI-M three town Committee would be inaugurated on May 1 by party State Secretary of the party Thammineni Veerabhadram, he said.

He urged the party activists and leaders to participate in large numbers in the May Day celebrations and in the inauguration programme of new building of CPM Three Town Committee and make the programmes grand success.

CPI-M party leaders Tukashala Lingaiah, Bandaru Yakaiah, Yerra Gopi, S K Babu, Bandaru Veerababu, Bhukya Srinivas, Pattipaka Naga Sulochana, Peddoku Upendra Chary, Velpula Nageswar Rao, S K Qasim and Sheelam Veerababu were present.
