Cordon and search operations conducted in Nalgonda
Nalgonda: The police on Friday conducted cordon and search operations in Leprosy colony in Nalgonda town in the early hours.
Superintendent of Police A V Ranganath along with DSP Sudhakar, nine Circle Inspectors , 14 sub-inspectors , 14 women police personnel and 171 policemen carried out cordon and search operations in the colonie and seized six bikes, three aut-rikshaws as the owners failed to produce valid papers. Police also seized 150 quintals of PDS rice and took three suspicious into their custody.
During the searching operations, police checked the houses of colony and verified the details of the persons staying in them.
Speaking to media, Ranganathan appealed to the people to pass on information about the any illegal activities taking place in their locality and also about the suspicious persons.
He further said that he would bring the problems of the Leprosy colony to the notice of the district administration for necessary action.
