DYFI holds 108th birth anniv fete of Sri Sri

Khammam: The representatives of the District Youth Federation of India (DYFI) celebrated the 108th birth anniversary of the famous revolutionary poet Srirangam Srinivas Rao (Sri Sri) on a grand scale. Several of his admirers and DYFI leaders garlanded his portrait at Sundaraiah Bhavan here on Monday and paid floral tributes. 

Speaking on the occasion, District DYFI secretary Shaik Basheeruddin said that Sri Sri was a great revolutionary poet who inspired the youth with his fiery poems. ‘Maha Prasthanam’ was one of the master piece written by Sri Sri which helped the youth to shape their lives and think about the society, he added. 

DYFI secretary said that youth of the present generation were behaving like frogs in a well without proper knowledge about what was going in their surroundings in the society. Moreover, they were not questioning the authorities about the wrong deeds that were being committed, he lamented.   

He urged the youth to take lead in building up a healthy and modern society taking Sri Sri as an inspiration.The youth sang songs and poems written by Sri Sri on the occasion. DYFI leaders N Ramesh, T Ramu, S Naveen, B Upendar Naik, P Subba Rao, and others were present on the occassion.
