LHPS alleges encroachment of tribal land
Khammam: District president of the Lambadi Hakkula Porata Samiti (LHPS)-Nangara Bheri D Dasharat Naik here on Monday demanded that the government cancel passbooks of the person who encroached on 30 acres of land in survey number 175 as it belonged to triable people.
The LHPS representatives submitted a memorandum to the District in-charge Collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumantu on the occasion of Grievance Day in Khammam.
Dasharat Naik alleged that the 30 acres of land in the survey number 175 under Kamepalli mandal was encroached upon by a person and got the land registered on the names of his family members.
The government, he said, may pay him Rs.1,20,000 under Rythu Bandhu scheme. The land belonged to the poor tribal people. He demanded that the district administration order an inquiry into it.
He also demanded that the government cancel the passbooks issued to the persons after the encroached land was registered on the names of the relatives of the person accused of encroaching upon the land.
LHPS representatives B V Naik, A Kishan, V Pramode, Telangana Jana Samiti District Secretary Bhadru Naik, Bahujana Ikya Vedika Founder President Thota Ganesh and TVUV District President Kishore Kumar were present.
