Cheques worth Rs 354 cr to be distributed to farmers
Mahbubnagar: With State government launching the prestigious Rythu Bandhu scheme to provide input subsidy to the farmers across the state, over 3.35 lakh farmers in Mahbubnagar district are expected to get a benefit. Cheques worth Rs 354 crores will be distributed to farmer during the current kharif season.
While addressing a media conference in Jadcherla, Health Minister C Laxma Reddy said all the arrangements for the launch of first-of-its-kind Rythu Bandhu scheme in the district were made. “All steps are being taken to implement the scheme perfectly. The officials will distribute the cheques and passbooks at all the distribution centres from May 10 to 17,” said the Minister.
Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy is launch the programme at Katrevupally village under Makthal mandal in the district. For this, the district officials have made all arrangements in advance and also appointed special officers to supervise the implementation of the scheme in the district.
“Almost all the villages have worn a festive look in Mahbubnagar district. Expressing their happiness, the farmers are praising the government’s initiative to rescue the farmers from distress. Never in the history of the world has any government given input capital for farmers. The Telangana government is making a history and the farming community is greatly hailing the efforts of the government,” said the Minister.
Not able to digest our good work and welfare programmes for the farmers. the Congress party members are talking irresponsibly. “The Congress party members are alleging that there is scam in passbook printing. It is unfortunate that they are throwing mud at the government by making unnecessary allegations to mislead the people. But the people will teach them a fitting lesion in the coming elections,” said the Minister.
