Three SBI officials suspended for money transport sans security
Nalgonda: Three bank officials, belonging to the SBI main branch in Nalgonda, were reportedly placed under suspension for dereliction of duty. The officials were held guilty for allowing transportation of Rs 40 crore currency in an open auto trolley from the SBI main branch at Clock Tower Centre to the Grammen Vika Bank at Ramagiri Road here on Thursday.
According to sources, the officials of the RBI and Intelligence wing of the SBI visited the SBI main branch on Friday and collected evidence regarding the incident.
On the directions from the higher officials, three SBI officials were placed under suspension. It may be recalled that The Hans India carried the report with a photo on currency bundles being transported without any security by an open auto trolley.
