Awareness rally taken out on National Dengue Day

​Nalgonda: District Medical and Health Officer Dr Bhanu Prasadon Wednesday called upon the people to take all precautionary measures to eliminate the mosquitoes to prevent spread of diseases. The DMHO flagged off a rally organisedon the occasion of National Dengue Day here.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhanu Prasadsaid dengue, chikungunya and malaria were caused by mosquitoes.He advised the people to maintain cleanliness in and around their houses. As a part of precautionary measures, he suggested that the resident spray kerosene or engine oils at water stored pits to kill the mosquitoes at larva stage itself. 

In the programme,District Malaria Officer Rudrakshi Durgaiah, Demo Venkanna, Madhusudhan , Yadagiri, ANMs, ASHA workers and office staff participated.
