KCR a true visionary, says Bhoora Narsaiah Goud
Nalgonda: Describing Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao as a true visionary, Bhongir MP Bhoora Narsaiah Goud here on Wednesday said the Rythu Bandhu scheme would rescue farmers from debt burden and make farming a profitable venture.
Narasaiah Goud along with District Collector Gaurav Uppal was distributing Rythu Bandhu cheques and Pattadar passbooks at a meeting held at ZPHS in Nakrekal in the district. Speaking on the occasion,the government had decided to provide crop investment at the rate of Rs 4,000 per an acre per farmer in each season bail out the farmer of distress.
Under Rythu Bandhu scheme, the government has been providing Rs 5,680 crore aid 54 lakh farmers. A total of Rs 900 crore had already been distributed to the farmers inerstwhile Nalgonda district.
The MP said successive Congress government had failed to develop Telangana. The TRS government within a short period of four years had taken several measures for the welfare of all sections of people, he said.
MP Badugula Lingaiah Yadav said theState government would introduce Rs 5 lakh insurance scheme for farmers from June 2 on the eve of State formation day.Stating that the government would organise eye test to all the people in the State at an estimated cost of Rs 120 crore.
District Collector Gaurav Uppal saidunder Rythu Bandhu scheme as many as Rs 466 crore had been distributed to the farmers in Nalgonda district.He further said so far four lakh metric tonnes of paddy was purchased from farmers through procurement centres.
In the programme, local MLA Vemula Veeresham, RDO Venkata Chary, Agriculture, Revenue officials and large number of farmers participated.
