Rythu Bandhu scheme will give a new lease of life to farmers: Suryapet Collector
Suryapet: District Collector K Surendra Mohan here on Tuesday expressed the confidence that Rythu Bandhu scheme would give a new lease of life to the farmers.
Inspecting the process of distributing pattadar passbooks and Rythu Bandhu cheques at centres at ZPHS in Kuda Kuda village under Chivemla mandal, the Collector said the government had launched Rythu Bandhu scheme to make agriculture a profitable venture in the State.
Stating that the cheque distribution programme was being carried out smoothly. So far, a total of 74,869 pattadar passbooks and 76,944 cheques had been distributed in 163 villages in the district. He advised the officials to complete the process without any hitch.
The officials were registering the complaints in registrars for examination, he said. He suggested that the farmers deposit the cheques in their bank accounts for encashing instead of standing in queue as valid of cheques is three months. In the programme, Chivemla Tahsildar Ramana Rao, Agriculture officials and bank staff participated.
