CPI, AIYF activists protest over fuel price hike

Wanaparthy: All India youth Federation (AIYF) and Communist party of India (CPI) activists in Atmakur mandal of Wanaparthy district demanded that the State and Central government immediately check the rising fuel prices. The activists staged a sit-in protest at Gandhi Chowk in Atmakur on Tuesday. 

They burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a mark of protest.  While speaking on the occasion, K V Ramulu, CPI district Secretary, said both the State and Central governments are fleecing the public by increasing the fuel prices. During the past three months t fuel prices were increased 30 times. 

“The wrong policies being pursued by both the State and Central governments led to increase in price of petrol and diesel, said Ramulu.  P Suresh, State assistant secretary AIYF, Rabort, A Abraham, CPI Mandal Secretaries of Atmakur and Amarachinta respectively, and AIYF district members M. Raghu, M.D Kutub, Anji, krishnaiah, Linganna, Ramulu, Arun, Raju and others took part in the protest.
