Opposition accuses TRS MLA of making false charges
Khammam: Leaders of various political parties here on Wednesday accused ruling TRS party MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar of making false allegations against his opponents. Ajay Kumar, the leaders said, had been making false complaints against his opponents to the police.
The Opposition leaders submitted a memorandum to Police Commissioner Tafseer Iqbal, urging him to ensure fair play.
Speaking on the occasion, the leaders said a round-table was held with the leaders of Opposition parties on Monday to discuss all the issues concerning false allegations made by the legislator against them. On seeing the positive response to the round-table, Ajay Kumar had become so agitated that he prodded his followers to hold a media conference and threaten the Opposition leaders, they alleged.
Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Yerra Srikant recalled that the Communist parties had won municipal elections times and again and ruled it for 30 years. The candidates fielded by the Left parties had won the Khammam seat time and again, he said.
He ridiculed the TRS leaders for sending chilli farmers to jails for demanding minimum support price. Contrary to the assurance by the TRS party that there would be no encounters in the Telangana State, two persons Smruthi and Sagar were killed, he said. The MLA, he said, had lodged a false complaint against a persons who questioned him as to why had failed to fulfil his promises.
The MLA also tried to see that the grain market was shifted to Raghunathapalem mandal, he alleged. Carporator Vaddeboina Narasimha Rao, CPI-M party leaders Yerra Srikanth, Yerra Srinivas Rao, Y Vikram, MA Jabbar and Nageshwar Rao, TDP leader Aluri Srinivas Rao, Congress party leader Patangi Venkateshwarlu, Chote Baba, Kilaru Venkata Ramana, Mohiuddin and TJS leader Bhadru Naik were present at the programme.
