Officials urged to implement Rythu Bandhu scheme transparently: Khammam Collector

Khammam: District Collector D S Lokesh Kumar here on Friday directed the officials to ensure that the distribution of pattadar passbooks and cheques under Rythu Bandhu scheme is carried out without giving any scope for irregularities.

The Collector was chairing a review meeting with the officials of various departments at Pragna Conference hall here.

Speaking at the meeting, Lokesh Kumar said the process of distribution of cheques and pattadar passbooks under crop investment scheme is a prestigious scheme introduced by the State government. It is intended to help the farmers.

Out of 2,49,000 passbook, as many as 2,30,000 were already distributed to the farmers till date. The distribution of remaining passbooks should be completed as early as possible on a war-footing, the Collector said.

He entrusted the task of implementing the scheme to Tahsildar. He warned of action against erring officials. The Collector asked the officials to make arrangements for distribution of clothes to Muslims during Ramzan festival. 

He also directed the officials to make arrangements for celebrations of State Formation Day. Rural Development Officer Purchandra, Collectorate Administrative Officer Madan Gopal and Tahsildars of various mandals were present at the meeting.
