Deceased home guard’s kin get financial aid in Khammam

​Khammam: Commissioner of Police Tafseer Iqbal on Monday handed over a cheque for Rs 3. 75 lakh to the family members of M Vinay Kumar, a home guard attached to Sattupally unit who died of ill health recently. 

The amount was collected by home guards in the region by donating their one-day salary in a humanitarian gesture. Tafsir Iqbal handed over the cheque to Vinay Kumar’s mother Umamaheswari and wife Bhulaksmi at a programme orgnaised here on Monday. 

DCP Suresh Kumar, ACP AR Venkateshwarlu, Home Guards’ Association members Rasheed, Gouse, Rafi and other officials participated in the programme.
