Telangana Jana Samiti to hold membership drive from May 30 in Khammam
Khammam: To strengthen the party from grass-roots, a massive membership drive will be taken up from May 30 in the district, according to district unite president of the Telangana Jana Samiti (TJS) S Papa Rao here on Tuesday.
A meeting was held with the leaders of the TJS district unit under the leadership of District Secretary Bhadru Naik here at the TJS party office in Khammam.
Speaking at the meeting, Papa Rao said several steps were being taken up for strengthening the party from village level in the district. As part of the exercise, a massive membership drive would be taken up from May 30 in the district, he said.
He exhorted the party activists to ensure that the membership drive is carried out successfully. The leaders should strive to enroll maximum number of people, including the youth, women and educationists, he added.
He said those interested in contesting in panchayat polls should enroll as party members. Special training classes would be conducted for the candidates interested in contesting in the panchayat polls, he said.
TJS leaders Ramesh, Ramu, Gopagani Shankar, Srinu Naik, J Ravi, Kishore and Veeranna were present at the programme.
