Nadigudem (Suryapet): In a grisly incident, a pack of stray dogs attacked and seriously wounded a five-year-old boy, Varun, at Chakirala village under Nadigudem mandal in Suryapet district on Friday.
The incident happened when the boy’s parents took him along with them to the village where they were assigned work under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MNREGS).
A pack of 15 stray dogs all of a sudden pounced on the boy and injured him severely while his parents were engaged in work. Alerted workers somehow drove way the dogs. The boy was shifted to Hyderabad for better treatment after he was given first-aid in Suryapet hospital.
