Insurance scheme for farmers to be launched on August 15: Gutha Sukender Reddy
Nalgonda: Rythu Samanvaya Samithi State Chairman and Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukender Reddy stated that Rs 5 lakh insurance scheme to the farmers would be come to effect from August 15.
Speaking to the media in Nalgonda on Wednesday, Sukender Reddy said the government would pay Rs 2,270 premium on behalf of each farmer.
The State government decided to protect the farmers in all aspects through Rythu Bandhu, new pattadar passbooks, life insurance and providing MSP to farm produces, he said.
Revenue Department has been working on a war-footing to rectify the mistakes in land records. Dindi lift irrigation works has been progressing at a brisk pace. The project was being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 6,500 crore and works of Udaya Samudram- Brahmana Vellemla lift irrigation scheme works would be completed in two months, he added
He slammed former Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy for making baseless allegations against the Chief Minister. Local TRS leaders were also present at the media conference.
