One-month-old baby girl found abandoned at Jadcherla

​Mahbubnagar: A month-old baby girl was found abandoned at New Bus station area under Jadcherla mandal in Mahbubnagar district on Friday. 

According to Jadcherla Sub-Inspector of Police Venkat Narayana, the infant was found abandoned at Jadcherla near a cool drinks stall at around 1 am. Two women, one aged about 18 years and another about 28 years, were seen holding the baby and sitting at the bus station. 

When all the stalls were closed after midnight, the two women left the baby at one of the stalls, near the Control Room of the bus station. The TSRTC official, who came to the bus station the next day morning, found the baby crying. He immediately took the baby inside his cabin and informed the police.

 “We are suspecting that the two unidentified women could have left the baby at the Jadcherla Bus stand. We have informed the issue to the higher-ups and based on their directions we have shifted the baby to the government hospital. 

After that we will shift the baby to children’s home in Mahbubnagar for the safe custody and we will try to find out the whereabouts of the baby’s parents,” said Venkat Narayana.
