CPM holds signature campaign for bus stops at Rotarynagar in Khammam
Khammam: Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) leader Macharla Bharati here on Thursday demanded that the government establish a bus stop at Rotarynagar and Indiranagar centres here. The CPI-M party Khanapuram Haveli Committee conducted a signature campaign to press their demand.
Speaking on the occasion, Bharati said the Telangana Rashtra Samiti government in the name of road widening works had demolished the bus stop at Rotarynagar, she alleged.
In the absence of bus stop at Rotarynagar area, people, including students and employees, are facing lot of hardships. Moreover, people are forced to stand under the hot sun, she pointed.
She demanded that the government establish a bus stop as early as possible for the convenience of people, students and employees. She urged local MLA Puvvada Ajay Kumar to ensure that a bus station is established. She warned that the CPI-M would organise a massive agitation if bus stop is not established.
CPI-M leaders Babu, Thirupathi Rao, P Ramya, K Amaravathi, S Srinu, T Tilaknath, S Nageshwar Rao, Narayana Rao, Murthy, T Venkateshwarlu, Murari, N Venkanna, D Keshavulu, Shammi, T Naga Raju, N Ramesh, D Venkateshwar Rao and Anand Rao were among present at the programme.
