Farmers Coordination Committee to meet today in Khammam
Khammam: Farmers Coordination Committee (FCC), united Khammam unit, has decided to hold its meeting here on Tuesday. The meeting, to be held at SR Gardens, will discuss a strategy to create awareness among the farmers on farmers insurance scheme, according to FCC covenor N Venkateswar Rao here on Monday.
Venkateswar Rao said the meeting would chart a course of action to educate 2,500 FCC members on Raythu Bhima Pathakam (Farmer Life Insurance Scheme), scheduled to be rolled out on August 15 across the State.
Roads and Buildings Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao and Agriculture Minister Pocharam Srinivas Reddy would attend the meeting as chief guests, Venkateswar Rao said. Agriculture Department officials are assigned to collect complete data of farmers to ensure that the scheme is launched without a hitch.
