Bhadrachalam: BJP and RSS workers on Wednesday protested against externment of Swami Paripoornanda from Hyderabad in the temple town. As part of externment, the swamy was shifted from Hyderabad to Andhra Pradesh in Kakinada.

The police had planned to shift the swamy through temple town Bhadrachalam to Kakinada.  On his way, the swami had expressed his desire to have a darshan at Lord Rama temple in Bhadrachalam.

As news of his arrival spread, his followers and BJP and RSS workers gathered in various place of Bhadrachalam to protest against the externment of the swami and thwart the police move.

Sensing trouble, the police took another way to reach Kakinada without giving a wind of the change of their plan to the protesters. As the devotees and BJP and RSS workers were waiting for the swami on the bridge, he had reached Kakinada via Aswarao Pet mandal.

The angered BJP workers staged dharna at the police station and the bridge. BJP district president B.Prabhakar Reddy criticized the government for externment of the swamy from Hydeabad.  Tension prevailed on the bridge as BJP workers blocked the road that caused traffic jam.  The protesters had a heated argument with the police. Finally, the protest ended with the arrest of protesters.
