Women demand separate police station in Kothagudem

Kothagudem: Women on Wednesday appealed to the Police department to set up a separate women police station in the coal town. An all-party delegation of women met District Superintendent of Police Amber Kishore Jha and submitted a memorandum in this regard.  

The leaders told the media the women are facing a lot of problems because of unavailability of a separate women police station in the district headquarters. Attacks on women have been increasing day by day in the district and coal town areas, they added.  

The women leaders Ramadevi, Ramana, Laxmi, Omkar, Bhukya Ramesh, Jampana, Joseph, Ravi Veerababu and others were present on the occasion.
