World Population Day observed in Bhongir

Bhongir: District Medical and Health Officer Dr Sambasiva Rao has stressed the need for preventing population explosion. He was speaking at a rally taken out on the occasion of World Population Day in Bhongir town on Wednesday.

Dr Sambasiva Rao emphasised the need to adopt birth control methods to ensure that there is no population explosion.He advised the doctors and staff of the government hospitals to take necessary steps to reduce mortality rate of mother and child.

The officials felicitated and awarded Rs 5,000 cash to two couples in the district for adopting birth control methods. DLO Papa Rao, Doctor Suman, Kalyan, Rajender, Madhu Mohan Rao, Saireddy, Rambabu, ANMs, ASHA workers and students participated. Programmes were conducted in Suryapet district also.
