Youth commits suicide in Bhongir

Athmakur (M) (Yadadri-Bhongir): A youth, Kongari Sudheer (24), committed suicide by hanging on Wednesday at Kapraipally under Athmakur (M) mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district.

According to the sources, Sudheer, a lorry cleaner, took the extreme step, after the girl he reportedly loved rejected his proposal for marriage. She explained to him that she cannot marry him because it amounted to consanguinity. She happened to be the youth’s maternal aunt. 

Dejected over the girl rejecting him, he committed suicide, the police said. Disappointed Sudheer, on Wednesday committed suicide by hanging himself to a tree located at the outskirts of the village.

The police sent the body for post-mortem to the government hospital. Sub-Inspector Kankati Yadagiri registered a case.
