Kodangal ZPHS girls stage protest over lack of teachers
Kodangal: The girl students of Zilla Parishad High School (Urdu medium) in Kodangal mandal came out on streets to protests against the education department for not appointing adequate subject teachers. The students blocked roads as a mark of protest.
The students blocked the traffic movement and demanded that the government immediately take cognizance of the pathetic conditions in their school. The students sought government’s intervention to appoint necessary teaching faculty to their school.
Supporting the students cause the MIM Mandal President M S Gulshan said that even though the State government had recognised Urdu as second language, it has failed to fill the teachers in the Urdu medium schools.
“The students who are studying SSC are not having necessary faculty for key subjects. They are studying subjects with no subject teachers and facing lot of problems. If the government does not fill the necessary teaching faculty in the Urdu medium schools we will further intensify our protest until the government heeds our problem,” said Gulshan.
Later, the police intervened and calmed the agitating students and the MIM leaders and assured that the MEO would be appraised of their problem and very soon necessary teaching faculty will be appointed to their school.
