Independence Day celebrated with fervour across Mahbubnagar

Mahbubnagar: The 72nd Independence Day was celebrated with fervour at various schools, colleges, and offices across erstwhile Mahbubnagar on Wednesday. 

In Mahabubnagar, Dr. C Laxma Reddy, Health Minister, unfurled the national flag and celebrated the 72nd Independence Day at the Police Parade ground. While talking on the occasion, the Minster said that the State government implemented more than 90 per cent of its promises and achieved development in all aspects.

“Soon after the formation of Telangana, we could achieve maximum development in just 4 years, what the previous governments could not do in 70 years,” said Dr. Laxma Reddy. 

Later, the Minister launched the Kanti Velugu programme and advised the people to take advantage of this programme and get their eyes screened and avail the free treatment facilities provided by the government. 

In Nagarkurnool, Jupally Krishna Rao, Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural development, unfurled the national flag and celebrated the Independences Day at Police Parade grounds. 

Among the colleges, JPNCE Engineering college students also took part in large numbers during the Independences Day celebrations. Chairman S.K.Ravi Kumar gave away prices worth 3.75 lakh to the students who had secured good marks in various engineering subjects.
