Minister T Padma Roa launches Kanti Velugu, Annapurna schemes in Kothagudem
Kothagudem: Excise and Youth Affairs Minister T Padma Roa on Wednesday inaugurated the government’s flagship programmes Annapurna and Kanti Velugu in the district.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said the government is implementing Annapurna programme in all municipalities in the State. The minister distributed food to the people in the coal town on the occasion.
He said Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao always think about the welfare of the people. Many schemes were implemented in last four years, he added. Under the Annapurna scheme the meals are available to all people at Rs.5 in the municipalities.
The Minister also inaugurated the government’s prestigious programme Kanti Velugu at the Palvoncha. As part of Bangaru Telangana, Chief Minister K.Chandrasekahr Rao is giving priority to the health services, he added.
He said, the government has released a lot of funds for health schemes in the state. “Many parties ruled in the state, but only the TRS government is implementing this type of the scheme in particular the health, he said. He appealed to the people of the district to use the facilities.
The health teams are visiting all villages and conducting check-up of yeas of every villagers and giving the spectacles after the eye test, he added. The minster got his eyes checked at the programme.
