Students, NGOs celebrate Independence Day in Khammam

Khammam: People’s organisations members, journalists and the students of several educational institutions celebrated the 72nd Independence Day with great zeal here on Wednesday. Representatives of the Annam Foundation in association with the Sai Spoorthy Students Seva Samiti celebrated the Independence Day with great enthusiasm.

After hoisting the national flag, Anna Foundation founder President Annam Srinivas Rao expressed his happiness over the students participating in the celebrations with fervour. he present generation should know the value of the freedom which was secured after the sacrifices of many great leaders and freedom fighters, he added.

The representatives of the Sai Spoorthy Students Seva Samiti handed over the cheque of Rs.1 lakh to the Annam Srinivas Rao for the Annam Foundation which is providing services orphans and senior citizens.

The representatives of the Sai Spoorthy Students Seva Samiti, Dilip, Raghuvamshi, Divya, Navya, Nagaraju, Manasa, Shanmuk Reddy and the representatives of Annam Foundation were present at the programme.
