TRS flexing political muscle to make meeting success: Congress

Khammam: District Congress Committee officials spokesperson Puvalla Durga Prasad here on Monday alleged that the TRS government is flexing its political muscles to organise Pragathi Nivedana Sabha to deceive the people.

He was speaking at a meeting at Sanjeeva Reddy Bhavan here on Monday. Durga Prasad accused the TRS leaders deploying government vehicles and money for mobilising the people for Pragithi Nivedhana Sabha in large numbers. 

What happened to the promise of distributing 3-acre of land to the poor people belonging to the Scheduled Castes, 12 per cent reservation to the people belonging to tribal and Muslim communities, supplying of pure drinking water to every household and allotment of double bedroom houses to the homeless people, he asked.

Moreover, the quality in construction of double bedroom houses was not maintained. Some houses developed leaks, he said. On the pretext of Haritha Haram, the officials of Forest Department were trying to drive away the tribal people who depended on the podu cultivation for decades from their lands.

The TRS government had utterly failed in developing the Telangana State, he pointed. On what basis, the TRS government was going to conduct Pragathi Nivedhana Sabhs, when it is failed to fulfill its poll promieses, he questioned. The Congress Party Minority Chairman Md. Tajuddin, OBC Chairman Veerabhadram, Md. Isaac, Fareed Qadri and other were present.
