Hyderabad bound flight departs 'early', leaves 14 passengers behind

An Indigo flight traveling from Goa to Hyderabad left fourteen passengers behind at the Goa airport on Monday.

The stranged passengers, who had boarding passes and were waiting to board the flight, alleged that the flight departed earlier than its scheduled time without making any announcement.

Countering their claims, an Indigo spokesperson said that the airline made several announcements calling the passengers to report at the gate and they declared the passengers as ‘gate no-show’.

According to the passengers, the flight scheduled for a 10.50 pm departure on Monday left 25 minutes before the scheduled time.

The flight's scheduled time of arrival in Hyderabad was 12.05 am, but it landed at 11.40pm.

The airline stated that the IndiGo staff looked for the passengers at the airport while making announcements over hand-held loudspeaker adding that phone numbers provided by the passengers were also contacted.

The airline further stated that Indigo shifted the passengers to the next flight in the morning free of charge despite no fault on their part.
