Three-tier security deployed for Iranian President visit

 With Iranian president Hassan Rouhani making his three-day visit to India, the security arrangements have been taken over by Iran's secret security personnel.

Keeping in view the threat from various quarters, the Iranian authorities urged for the Indian security establishment to provide the highest priority to Rouhani's security.

On February 16, Rouhani will visit Mecca Masjid where all security personnel, including Telangana police, will be in mufti inside the mosque.

Earlier this week, a high-level security meeting was held with Intelligence Bureau (IB), Telangana police and Iran security agencies.

The members of Ministry of Intelligence of Iran have already visited Golconda Fort, Qutub Shahi tombs and Mecca Masjid to review the arrangements. The Iranian president will be accompanied by a 50-member contingent and reside at Taj Krishna for the full duration of his two-day visit.

In his hectic schedule, Rouhani will visit Golconda Fort, Qutub Shahi tombs before heading to Mecca Masjid, where he will be offering prayers, followed by his speech. 

The main security for the Iranian President will be handled by Iranian Intelligence with assistance from Telangana Intelligence sleuths out of the three-tier security
