Markapuram boy tops APPSC Group 1

Ongole: Akula Venkata Ramana, a non-descript boy from a family of agriculturists, became the talk of Markapuram town as he stood first in the 2011 APPSC Group I final result. He aggregated 489.5 marks with 63.5 marks for interview.

Ramana, a product of the local government school is from a family from the farming community. 

He is a BTech and is currently associated with an NGO. He ays he wants to focus on improving agriculture and education so that it could benefit the rural areas in a big way.
