Technology will enhance quality of rural lives, says KTR
Hyderabad: With a view to taking the fruits of technology to rural masses, the Telangana government has embarked on a school digitisation programme as part of TS Class which will benefit the school children in rural areas.
Speaking during the Nasscom Foundation event at WCIT on Wednesday, Telangana IT Minister K Taraka Rama Rao said lessons would be beamed through satellite giving alltogether a new experience to students in classroom learning.
Stating that a school, primary health centres and gram panchayat are connected under technology demonstration programme, KTR said that the T-Fibre in the state would soon revolutionise the citizen-based services like education, heath and governnance.
Stating that quality of life can be improved at the village level with the help of technology, the IT Minister said T-Fibre would have an access to 1 GBPS internet speed which would help the administration remove inefficiencies in governance by impacting micro insurance and ultra banking.
