Vijayawada: The TDP leadership has decided to go offensive against its ally the BJP after its leader Somu Veerraju showed a video clipping in which Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu was seen making a statement that the state does not need Special Status.

Following the media conference, TDP leader and MLC Budda Venkanna came down heavily on Somu Veerraju saying that the latter is an agent for opposition leader and YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

He said Somu Veerraju comes out before media on the direction of YS Jagan. Venkanna sought to know as to why Somu Veerraju is not disclosing the newspaper article in which Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised to accord Special Status to AP.

He further said Somu Veerraju had secured MLC seat only because the TDP joined hands with the BJP to form coalition. The people of the state agreed to the Centre's promise that all the grants mentioned in Special Status will be approved to Andhra Pradesh through Special Package.
