KCR mourns Kanchi seer Jayendra Saraswathi’s death
Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao mourned the demise of Jayendra Saraswathi, the 69th pontiff of the Shankara Mutt in Kanchipuram in Tamil Nadu.
Expressing his heartfelt condolences, the Chief Minister on Wednesday in a statement praised the great services rendered by Jayendra Saraswati for the development of Kanchi Peetham.
KCR further instructed the Commissioner of Endowments department to depute a senior officer from the department to represent the Telangana Government on his behalf at the last rites of Jayendra Saraswati.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi too offered his condolences on Twitter,
