Mobile governance to become a reality in Telangana
The Telangana government is all set to bring out a law to utilise all its services through mobile. In the near future, the public can expect to avail land registrations, revenue records in the mobile format.
IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan along with Municipal Administration Minister KT Rama Rao launched the T App Folio in Hyderabad where he said that it won’t be long when all services will be provided through the mobile.
Citizens can avail the 150 services of the GHMC, RTA, Police and T-Wallet by downloading the app. T App Folio allows downloading of certificates along with bill payments and other services.
KTR stated that the new app is to provide a comprehensive M-governance platform with single ‘sign on’ feature for all other official apps.
He further stated that the app is ready for Android and iOS platforms. Praising the IT and ECD department, the Minister pointed out that an exponential rise has been witnessed in online transactions through Meeseva (up to 12 crores) and T-Wallet (Rs 120 crore) in the last few years.
KTR added that the T-Fibre project will provide every public utility office such as village panchayat, health centres, school and police station with 2 Gbps and households with 15 MBps connections.
