BJP to Take on TRS

Update: 2018-03-05 01:34 IST

Hyderabad: Setting stage for a no holds barred political fight, the State BJP has decided to bowl a full toss against TRS and Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao bringing up the issue of Ram temple at Ayodhya.

Speaking to The Hans India, a senior party leader said, the decision to go all out against the TRS has the blessings of the Central party leadership. This was, following the Chief Minister’s continuous outbursts against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Including belittling the party’s ideologues like Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and ‎Syama Prasad Mukherjee at a recently held government programme.

The party has identified four issues to go into people and to fight against the TRS. They include family rule, corruption, misgovernance and the construction of Ram Temple at Ayodhya.

So far, the Ram temple issue has been put on the back burner. But, two key issues had made the party bringing in the Ram temple issue to the fore, as it had been done in Karnataka.

Firstly, the TRS has been mincing no words in accusing BJP and its central leadership. Secondly, the TRS Chief is blaming the centre for not giving its approval to its proposal to provide reservations for Muslims.

State BJP president Dr. K Laxman said, “The chief minister knows that the issue is pending before the Apex Court and there are constitutional constraints for providing reservations on the basis of religion.” However, in a bid to appease the AIMIM and its leader Asaduddin Owaisi, KCR has been trying to throw mud on the center, he added.

It was against this backdrop that the party had decided to go all out to corner the TRS-AIMIM combine bringing up the temple issue setting the political discourse around it as TRS is trying to corner the BJP on providing reservation or Muslims.
