Naxal threat suspected, bulletproof bus being proposed for KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is likely to own a bulletproof bus worth Rs 7 crores. The bus will be used during his district tours in the future. Reports suggest that the officials from the state’s transport department and government are proposing a bulletproof bus suspecting threat from the naxals.

Keeping in view of the Assembly elections next year, KCR has already planned to tour across the state and will be visiting districts and villages.

Hence, a bulletproof bus is being prepared for this arrangement. A committee headed by Roads and Buildings (R&B) Principal Secretary Sunil Sharma will be looking into the proposal and submit a report soon.

Following this, a final call will be taken and also the bus will take three months to officially be ready.

Previously, KCR was arranged a Mercedes Benz luxury bus worth Rs 5 crores in 2015. Now, the new bus is set to have more advanced features will more security proof.
